Your floor area

Use a decimal point or comma, up to 8 decimal places, without thousands separators. Maximum 1,000,000,000,000. A comma is always decimal: 1,234 means 1.234, never 1234.

Converted area

Example: 100 m² converted to four decimal places.

The squared conversion formula

One international foot is exactly 0.3048 metres. For area, square that factor: 1 ft² = (0.3048 m)² = exactly 0.09290304 m². Multiply ft² by 0.09290304 to get m²; divide m² by 0.09290304 to get ft². Using the length factor alone would give the wrong area.

For example, 100 m² ÷ 0.09290304 = approximately 1076.3910 ft², rounded to four decimal places. Conversely, 1 ft² is exactly 0.09290304 m², or 0.0929 m² at four decimal places. Choose eight decimal places to see that exact factor.

Rounding and measurement limits

Calculations retain the exact decimal input and squared factor until the final display. Results round half up to the selected number of decimal places. A very small positive area may display as zero at lower precision; select more decimal places. More digits do not make the original property measurement more accurate.

Unit conversion does not standardize property-area definitions. A listing may report usable, internal or gross area, with different treatment of walls, balconies, shared spaces and low ceilings. Check the listing's definition before comparing properties; this tool does not determine legal or cadastral area.

Keep your comparison private

No account or network request is needed to calculate. Copy produces plain text; print uses your browser's print or save-to-PDF dialog. Those actions create a copy outside this page at your request. Reset restores the examples. Reloading discards your edits.
