Legal Compliance Implementation Summary

Overview

RentifyNow has been updated with comprehensive legal compliance features required for commercial operation in Poland and the European Union. This implementation includes GDPR/RODO compliance, cookie consent management, and all required legal pages.

Implemented Features

1. Legal Pages

Created four comprehensive legal page components with Polish and English translations:

2. Cookie Consent Banner

Implemented a GDPR-compliant cookie consent system:

  • Slide-in animation banner
  • Three action options:
    • Accept All Cookies
    • Essential Only
    • Customize Preferences
  • Detailed cookie preferences dialog with toggles for:
    • Essential Cookies (always enabled)
    • Functional Cookies
    • Analytics Cookies
    • Marketing Cookies
  • Persistent storage of user preferences
  • Service for managing consent across the application
  • Integration hooks for analytics and marketing tools

Technical Implementation:

  • CookieConsentService: Manages consent state and localStorage
  • CookieConsentComponent: UI for banner and settings dialog
  • Integrated into main layout component
  • Auto-displays on first visit (1-second delay)

3. Updated Footer

Enhanced footer with:

  • Legal links section with:
    • Privacy Policy
    • Terms of Service

    • ODR Platform (external link)
  • Proper copyright notice
  • All links use Angular routing (except ODR)
  • Responsive design
  • PrimeNG components

4. Routing

Added legal routes under /legal/*:

Routes are lazy-loaded for optimal performance.

Complete bilingual support (English & Polish) for:

1. Company Information

Update /apps/web/src/app/pages/legal/company-info/company-info.component.html:

  • Replace placeholder company name: "RentifyNow Sp. z o.o."
  • Update registered address
  • Add real NIP, REGON, KRS numbers
  • Update management board members
  • Verify business hours
  • Add actual contact information

2. Email Addresses

Update throughout legal pages:

3. Legal Content Review

Have a lawyer review:

  • Terms of Service content
  • Privacy Policy compliance with current GDPR/RODO requirements

4. Cookie Implementation

Complete cookie consent integration:

  • Implement Google Analytics initialization based on consent
  • Implement marketing tool initialization based on consent
  • Update CookieConsentService methods:
    • enableAnalytics() - Add GA initialization
    • disableAnalytics() - Disable GA
    • enableMarketing() - Add marketing pixels
    • disableMarketing() - Remove marketing cookies

5. Add Detailed Legal Content Translations

The current implementation includes placeholders. You need to expand LEGAL translations in both en.json and pl.json with detailed content for:

  • Full Terms of Service sections
  • Complete Privacy Policy sections
  • Detailed Cookie Policy sections
  • Complete Company Information

Example structure is provided in the components, but the actual comprehensive legal text needs to be filled in from actual legal documents.

  2. Before Launch:

    • Integrate Google Analytics with cookie consent
    • Test cookie consent banner on different devices
    • Ensure all email addresses are functional
    • Add ODR platform registration if required
    • Register with Polish data protection authority (UODO) if required

  3. Ongoing:

    • Keep legal pages up-to-date
    • Review cookie policy when adding new tracking
    • Monitor GDPR compliance requirements

Testing Checklist

  • Visit site in incognito/private mode - cookie banner should appear
  • Test "Accept All" - all cookies should be enabled
  • Test "Essential Only" - only necessary cookies should be set
  • Test "Customize" - individual preferences should be saved
  • Navigate to all legal pages - content should display correctly
  • Test on mobile devices - banner should be responsive
  • Switch language (PL/EN) - all translations should work
  • Check footer links - all should navigate correctly
